330ml Bottle - Black with a tan head. Blackcurrant, raisins, cocoa and some earthy notes in the aroma. Blackcurrant, roasted malt, plums and cocoa feature in the smooth taste.

330ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Grass, hay and citrus in the aroma. Bready taste with lemon, yeast, hay and grass. Drinkable but punches under its weight for a beer of this type and strength.

Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. A couple of years past BBD. Appearance - deep brown/black with a nice head. Nose - treacle, a bit of a sour apple on the top. Taste - treacle again, dry blackberry, toffee, dry smoky charcoal thing. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a tangy dry finish. Overall - a very interesting beer.
