Description
Along the road to Nismes, a stone's throw from Mariembourg, a peculiar building with a copy of a windmill is visible. It was the showcase of a disco that was turned into a brewery by Frédéric Adant in 1998.
At the Brasserie des Fagnes, we brew around 50 different beers per year. Our brews and beers offered for tasting may change according to the seasons. More fruity in spring, light and refreshing in summer, rather amber in autumn with more body and taste, finally more alcoholic in winter with a tendency towards strong browns ... Yes, there is something for everyone's taste at the Brasserie des Fagnes! Some of its beers are only available at the Brasserie des Fagnes. After brewing, fermentation and aging in the tank, they are transferred to storage tanks which are directly connected to the flow pumps in the tasting room.

Dark red brown colour. Aroma and flavour have sweet dark malts and a bit of dried fruit. Pleasant.

Bottle on the train to Poperinge. Clear golden liquid with medium white head. Aroma of perfume, pears, corn, clove, bread, sweet alcohol and raw sugar. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of pears, corn and raw sugar. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. OK.

Nice Belgian blond beer. Has the usual body, but with some extra spices, which makes it stand out a little.

Imported from my RateBeer account as Fagnes Cuvée Guillaume (by Brasserie des Fagnes):
Aroma: 5/10, Appearance: 3/5, Taste: 4/10, Palate: 3/5, Overall: 8/20, MyTotalScore: 2.3/5
29/V/14 - 75cl from Comptoir des Fagnes (Couvin) @ home - BB: IX/2014 (2014-572)
Little cloudy orange beer, creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: fruity, apples, apple sauce, bit off, sourish, spicy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, sugary, apple souce, little sugary, bitter touch, medicinal. Aftertaste: sweet, apple sauce, sugary, little sourish, apple juice. Well, it's an apple beer. And it's probably not even a bad apple beer. But it does make a bad beer...
