Description
Along the road to Nismes, a stone's throw from Mariembourg, a peculiar building with a copy of a windmill is visible. It was the showcase of a disco that was turned into a brewery by Frédéric Adant in 1998.
At the Brasserie des Fagnes, we brew around 50 different beers per year. Our brews and beers offered for tasting may change according to the seasons. More fruity in spring, light and refreshing in summer, rather amber in autumn with more body and taste, finally more alcoholic in winter with a tendency towards strong browns ... Yes, there is something for everyone's taste at the Brasserie des Fagnes! Some of its beers are only available at the Brasserie des Fagnes. After brewing, fermentation and aging in the tank, they are transferred to storage tanks which are directly connected to the flow pumps in the tasting room.

22/VII/15 - 75cl bottle from the brewery @ home - BB: VI/2013 (let's hope the markings on the side of the label, to indicate a date, were a bit off, because what brewer would sell his own beer 2 years past date?) (2015-954) Thanks to Dirk V.E. for sharing the beer!
Note: ÜBER GUSHER! Never seen this before, while still twisting the wire cage, suddenly the cork flew off and from the force of the beer gushing out, the bottle just flew out of my hands, killing some glasses and spraying beer all over my guests while spinning around on the table. Yeah, well F U 2!
From what's left: cloudy pale beige beer, huge creamy white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: dusty, lots of honey while gushing, but not much after, C02, soapy. MF: lots of carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit sweet, sugary, some citrus, very yeasty and weird. Aftertaste: sugary, some honey, card board. Good job, guys! :-(

Taste: bit sourish, dusty, spicy, weird, watery. Aftertaste: slightly bitter, spicy touch, some chlorine, sweet, more honey. Weirdest Belgian impression of a saison thus far.

Sampled draft @ Delirium Tap House. Clear golden, big white head. Nose is metallic, cold iron, cereal, grain, very cheap sugar,... Taste is cereal, cold water, iron, thin, metallic, very cheap white sugar,… Clean, metallic & industrial. Processed to death. Quite stupid really.

250mL bottle, best before 2001 (yeah, that's right). Pours a cloudy reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma is oxidized, but there is still some dark fruit, and a little sourness. Flavour is quite tart and fairly oxidized, but this isn't actually half bad considering how old it is - dark fruits, total absence of bitterness, and a touch of acidity. Would have probably been decent when fresh, but it's a pretty unique experience as is. Can't exactly say it's good, but it's not undrinkable.

Bottle at Quinn’s, Camden Town. Bright gold with a large white head. Slightly sulphurous smell, with some hard citrus and candy sugar notes. Taste is sweet and slightly syrupy with sulphurous notes. Unlike any beer I’ve had. Lightly carbonated palate.
