Description
At Bitburger, the pure pleasure of Pilsner-style beer has a long family tradition. Since the founding of our brewery in 1817, we have dedicated ourselves fully to the quality and taste of our products. Today, seven generations and almost 200 years later, Bitburger is still in family hands – but the small business of two centuries ago has become one of the biggest breweries in Germany, and the number one player in the draught beer market. We owe the success of our company first and foremost to our employees, who bring real passion to their work for the company. For us, a sense of social responsibility is simply part of what we do. Bitburger also supports many charitable and community projects, and promotes cultural and sporting events.

Bottle. Germans make the best non-alcoholic beers. Even though they still aren't always very good same for this one. Clausthaler Dry-hopped is the best n/a beers.

Can. Dark gold, slightly cloudy, huge head with a small one that hangs around. This beer is great. Not crazy about hoppy beers but this one was perfect. Slightly sweet upfront nice plesant bitter finish.

Bottled. Pours clean golden with white head. Slightly-above-average german pilsner, not outstanding with no bigger flaws. Good for quantity drinking.

500 mL can
4.8% ABV
Packaged on: 2024.11.26
Best before: 2025.11.26
$9.89 4-pk @ Publix

AROMA: Slightly sour with moderate scents of malt, bread, and moist loam.

APPEARANCE: Pours a clear, light gold, with a 2-finger, tight-frothed, pure-white head that dissipates slowly, with moderate lacing.

TASTE: Moderately sweet with flavors of malt and honey, which is then followed by a mild bitterness that lasts all the way through the finish. The finish is slightly dry with some mild bitterness, but at the very end of the finish there is one last gasp of sweetness before fading to black.

MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied with a crisp, and somewhat smooth texture. Carbonation is average.

OVERALL: I found the levels of sweet and bitter to be just right, making for a very enjoyable beer. This is one of those beers that you can drink all day and your palate will never complain. And with an ABV of 4.8%, nor will the rest of your body.

I will definitely buy this again. Especially during the summer, when the crispness of the body would be welcome on a hot day, yet the sweetness level is low enough to feel refreshing without being cloying.

0.5 l bottle from local 'EDEKA', best before October 2025. A bit hazy, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty and a little fruity aroma of caramel, burnt sugar and light raisins. Fairly sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, bread crust, brown sugar and a touch of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Typical Malzbier, not bad.
