Cask at Butlers Bell, Stafford – though have drank it before. Pours “bitter brown” with a medium sized almost white foamy head snf excellent lacing. There’s malts, biscuits and marmalade in the aroma. Sweet malts to the fore un the mouth initially as well, but some underlying bitterness is quickly detected too. Some traditional hops together with hints of ginger and herbs, leading to a slightly dry finish. This is a decent old school bitter.
