Straw colour, some chill haze, with a thick head. On the nose, some fresh pale malt and a slightly leafy, herbaceous. Pale malts have a sweetish note, maybe a touch doughy, then finishing with a lightly bitter, herbaceous hop note. Decent pils.

Thnx to Dr. Beer. Pours Black, not-so-stable off white, small head. Smell is roasted, complex dark sugars, mild coffee-like roasty undertone. Taste is mildly bitter, very burnt, roasty, very, very distant barrel features, they build up a bit as the beer warms up. Some bourbon, mild vanilla. Bit of oxidation.

Bomber poured at Matt’s. Much thanks to Berko for the bottle. 2015. Darker golden orange pour with a thin swirling head. Some apple sauce, spice like aroma. Flavor is a nice, slightly spiced apple pie like flavor, soft cinnamon. Mixed sour fruit, but again, apple seems to.dominate, but nicely. Smooth and flavorful finish. This drinks really nice. Unique, and interesting beer here.

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver
Mild aroma of grass and hay. Quite good malt base, crisp, a bit too much hay, and the hops are moderately grassy.
Quite good, worth trying again.

22 oz bottle poured, courtesy of mcberko. Thanks! A caramel color orange pour with a patchy fizz head. A funk constant sour fruit aroma. Flavor is a dark fruit up front, with a ton of oak and some unique wine notes. Very strange sour here for me. A lingering funk to it. Pretty good, but weird.

650mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark orangey brown with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out light funky brett, red wine barrels, and some light balsamic. Flavour is bizarre, with tons of balsamic vinegar, tart red berries and a hint of brett. Not really appropriately structured, with a strangely viscous palate. Maybe the 1+ year of aging didn't help, but this isn't very convincing.

650mL bottle, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is quite soapy, with floral hops and biscuity malt - that doesn't smell right. Flavour is quite soft, with biscuity malt, subdued floral hops and a little herbal notes. Not very pils-like. Boring stuff, but it's drinkable.

Bottle - Little soap and grains. Clear gold with a small white head. Light grains and a decent finish.
