Bottle: Poured a hazy orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of mango and tropical fruit notes with some light funky yeasty flavours. Taste is a great mix of mango, tropical fruits with light funky flavours with a solid malt backbone and light residual sugar notes. Body is full with great carbonation. Great used of Equinox hops with yeast presence not as discernable as I had expected.

Floral hops in aroma. Some floral in flavor but very dry, bitter grapefruit with some tea-like flavors as well.

Almost bought it in BC but passed and lo and behold it’s now on sale on rakuten via sake no taniguchi. A perfect looking orange-gold with a thick head of soapy foam and a crazy thick fruity hop bouquet with a bitter piney edge. Fairly full bodied with a sandy carbonation and semi-dry finish. The taste is bitter fruity mango and passionfruit but also has some somewhat minty pine notes. A really solid IPA from the west coast and I like the woodsy tropical fruit finish like fruit rinds and stems. Really solid stuff.

Bottle shared. Thanks Tim! Pours a copper color with a finger of foam that lingers. Huge tropical fruit bouquet dominates the nose. Super juicy with a very new world nose. Good carbonation with cherry and citrus tang on the palate. Quite a bitter finish that lingers. Very nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Naughty Hildegard on 03 Sep 2016 at 16:46 - Score: 7. Original review text: Tropical pineapple nose. Juicy fruit. Cherry and citrus on the palate. Good carbonation. Bitter finish.

Pours beautifully amber, nice foamy look. Aroma full of tropical fruits, some aromatic hops, fragrant. Tastes light, malt sweetness balanced with hops, easygoing and clean. Very modern interpretation of ESB. Lingering hop bitterness ensues.

Deep amber color. Lots of apricots, peaches and earthy notes. The hops are very bright for the style. Well balanced, very earthy, with good malt backbone. Modest bitter finish. Excellent new world example of the style. Well balanced.

Tap at the Black Frog in Vancouver BC. Pours dark Amber with a creamy beige head. Malty aroma. Med body. Flavor is mildly spicy and malty. Make that moderately spicy. Good alt IMHO.
