Bottle from the Beerhive, drunk on the hottest day of the year after some lacklustre gardening as some kind of reward. Pours hazy yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of near-minty herbs, savoury, sweet malt, faint citrus. Taste is resinous, sweet orange, then a forced rhubarb kind of thing, stewed with white sugar, lightly astringent, but also fruity and sweet, like John Inman in Are You Being Served. Good balance of flavours, lots going on, but also slips down very easily. Texture is just on the right side of oily, fragrantly bitter on the finish.

Clear orange beer, big creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit cheesy, dank, resinous. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very hoppy, fruity touch, very resinous, malty. Aftertaste: tropical fruits, pineapple, some passion fruit, very bitter resinous finish.

Poured from the tap. Orangey yellow with off white head. Bready sweet yeast malt with mild banana largely overnoted with tropical hops and subtle grassy hops. Not much of a hefe (traditionally), but as an experimental it’s quite good.

Tap at Draught 55, copper pour small head. Nose is candy and some melon. Tastes of peach, honey dew, candied malts, caramel, some grassy tones. Sweet sugary plate would have guess DIPA but I guess abv slipped under radar.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, grain, funky. Medium mouth pure sugar, spice, grain, lingering dry finish, ok.
