In the last few years the Strate private brewery has developed into the second-biggest swing stopper bottler in Germany. The distribution area extends 120 km around the mash tun.
33cl swing top bottle. A clear dark golden beer. Aroma of gin, herbs, strong malt. Taste of lemon grass, herbs, gin, strong pale malt.

Geruch und Antrunk nach Zitronengras. Süffiger, süßlich herber Beginn. Deutlich kräutrig, was aber gut eingebunden ist. Spritzig, etwas Wacholder, das Zitronengras bleibt prägend. Feine Bitterkeit, langer Abgang. Gut! 10/10/11/11/9/11

Leicht pappiger Geruch. Karamelliger, weich herber Beginn mit alkoholischem, nicht störenden Beiton. Spritzig, ansteigende Würzigkeit, Karamell, helles Holz, trockener Hintergrund. Süffiger, angenehm karamelliger Abgang, in dem zum ersten Mal Rum erkennbar ist. 10/9/11/10/8/10

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, copper-ish, dark amber colour with small to average, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Mellow, caramel malty aroma with fruity overtones, hints of caramel, toffee, a touch of milk chocolate, some rum, a cautious touch of apple, mirabelle. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, notes of toffee, some milk chocolate, a touch of vanilla, some rum, cautious fruity overtones with a touch of mirabelle, apple, a touch of grappa as well. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and slightly prickly carbonation. Well balanced, harmonious, well adjusted BA support - a brew that really adds quality to Strate's range.

5/8/2020. Bottle courtesy of Boris, cheers! Poured slightly hazy red amber with a bubbly/fluffy off-white head. Aroma of sweet cherry, malt, cherry liquor and a touch of chocolate. Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation. Fruity cherry finish, not artificial. Enjoyable.

Süßlicher, trocken alkoholisch-karamelliger Start. Wärmend, hell getreidig, ab dem Mittelteil herb werdend. Mild süß, ausgewogen, hell getreidig bitterer Abgang, langer Nachhall. 10/11/9/10/12/10

Gold with a foamy white head that fades. Grainy, grassy aroma. Taste a mix of herbal bitterness and bready sweetness. Medium bodied. Drinkable.
