Smooth mild beginning. The rum with woody parts is nice in the back. Full and round, smooth with a nice round and malty woody back. The rum is not too intense, subtle and dry with wood in the back. Nice not too sweetish in the finish, deep and still dry. Nice.

Dry herbal beginning. Hints of malt in the back, the dry gin aroma is on top, but not too dominating. Round and mild, fruity with a nice herbal grainy aftertaste with not much bitterness. Nice herbs in the aftertaste.

Dark amber with a frothy white head. Aroma of oak, rum, caramel. Taste is bittersweet, the rum comes up front, the raisins and caramel next. Finishes with a mild oak bitterness. Body to the full side of medium, carbonation mild. Quite smooth with a bit of chewiness. The rum is present but understated, exactly how it should be. Tasty stuff!

Geruch und Antrunk nach Zitronengras. Süffiger, süßlich herber Beginn. Deutlich kräutrig, was aber gut eingebunden ist. Spritzig, etwas Wacholder, das Zitronengras bleibt prägend. Feine Bitterkeit, langer Abgang. Gut! 10/10/11/11/9/11

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, copper-ish, dark amber colour with small to average, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Mellow, caramel malty aroma with fruity overtones, hints of caramel, toffee, a touch of milk chocolate, some rum, a cautious touch of apple, mirabelle. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, notes of toffee, some milk chocolate, a touch of vanilla, some rum, cautious fruity overtones with a touch of mirabelle, apple, a touch of grappa as well. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and slightly prickly carbonation. Well balanced, harmonious, well adjusted BA support - a brew that really adds quality to Strate's range.

5/8/2020. Bottle courtesy of Boris, cheers! Poured slightly hazy red amber with a bubbly/fluffy off-white head. Aroma of sweet cherry, malt, cherry liquor and a touch of chocolate. Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation. Fruity cherry finish, not artificial. Enjoyable.
