bottle - minimal aroma, pale yellow, fizzy beer, minimal head, minimal taste. This lousy, club soda like beer that somehow sells quite well is more proof that most people don’t actually like beer.

Got this on "special" for $2.99 a six at the local liquor store. Pour is a pale yellow with a fizzy white head. Aroma is slighly grainy and if you use your imagination there are some hops in there. Flavor is clean and refreshing with some grain and malts. Close to most Euro lagers then an American lager. Nothing really great but for a lager is decent.

A pale gold beer with a moderate white head. A very slightly bitter taste. I got a sample at a Super Bowl party after I had finished my 3 bottles of Rogue.

Bottle. Sour malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet corn malt flavor with moderate carbonation. Miller Hi Life with lower carbonation.

Ah yes, it’s another pale lager that bills itself as smooth, never bitter. What they mean to say is that it’s water. Granted I’ve had worse (MGD). But calling it the champagne of beers like it’s something classy is laughable. If this is the high life, I’ll stay in the gutter.

It looks like a beer but thats where the similarities end. Tasteless, except for a foul aftertaste that you try to wash away with another swig but sadly it always returns. Worst of the Big Three light beers in my opinion.

2005 bottle consumed on 1/7/06 (My first pale lager in 3 months!). I don’t know what’s worse: this beer, or the fact that this was the most interesting beer I could find at the liquor store I bought it at. Probably the beer.
Pours a clear pencil yellow, with light peach skin tones and a very large white head that recedes slowly, but completely, leaving no lacing. Smells of rich corn syrup and light malt grains. Perhaps the faintest touch of dry, hay-like hops, though one can not be certain. . .
Flavor begins quite sweet, initially I do get some true, clean malt, but this is beaten back by a sluggish, cheap tasting corn syrup/adjuncty flavor that is both too sweet and too syrupy in texture. Carbonation is actually not as sharp as say bud light or miller lite, but none the less, is still too prevalent. The texture is thicker (relatively speaking) and actually almost comforting as it goes down (in a pale lager sense). Notes of vanilla, and traces of DMS. Fully warmed, there is a light glue note on the finish, that is partially subsumed by the sugary syrup flavors. No alcohol apparency, no yeast apparency.

Cheers to slob for sending this fine ancient can of old school swill my way. I love it! Cloudy dull beige colour. Smells like an aged macrobrew, mixing overly heavy (slightly sherryish) bread notes with medicinal phenols and rotting pork. The taste, surprisingly, isn’t bad. There’s some light oxidized notes and vague cough syrup phenols but mainly just clean pale malts, the faintest hop. It’s almost gained a certain freshness, a second wind if you will. Seriously, this is actually drinkable.
