OK, I’ve seen and heard and read plenty about the beast line of beers. I didn’t care for the smell but the taste for a pale beer was nondescript, not awful, similar to it’s Ice version.

2005 can sampled with bucknaked 4/28/2005. Words can’t describe how proud I am to be the first rater of this fine specimen. . . .
Well I sniffed and sniffed and worked real hard on identifying the aroma and I think I’ve got it: Used lemon-scented cat litter. Yep, that’s it. Looks a light yellow, poor white head rapidly fizzles away. Flavor is a melange of corn products. Corn flour, corn syrup, corn starch. It wasn’t overcarbonated though. . .

(Bottle 100 cl) Wauw, this is actually quite fascinating. Danish "Malt Liquors" are most often strongly alcoholic and unpleasant. But this beer really is a technological study in the art of suppressing strong alcohol. Golden, very white slightly creamy head. Extremely light body, no real bitterness but a rather odd chemical aftertaste. Like a "Miller Light" gone crazy? Fascinating in a perverse way. And this enormous bottle never really empties....

Hmm... out of a can this is pretty bad. I remember the bottled version being much better. Really effervescent, but little collection on surface to form head. Color looks like an extremely transparent gold. Aroma is weak and grainy. Taste is sweet and smooth, maybe some fruit... apple? Then again, maybe it looks so much like bubbly apple juice that I’m having a hard time concentrating. Not bad, but definitely a beer for such hallowed experiences such as deer camp.

Bottle. This beer may have sucked, but reading the commercial description on the bottle was worth it. The funny thing is, it dosent have more aroma, flavor or body than anything else Miller makes. Soapy, rice and stale cereal meets the nose, with a faint whiff of stale apples a la Rolling Rock. Flavor is much the same, with a lovely cereal grain malt base, a touch of honey and something fuzzy, but not quite bitter on the end. Light body, bringing corn syrup to the palate as it warms. Pale yellow color. This was the only beer I hadnt tried at the store where we bought it. Suffciently awful!!

Courtesy of the good folks at Chevron in Bellingham, WA. Extra pale. Smells like a cornfield. Full of midwestern goodness. They don’t grow hops in the Midwest.

Bottled. Golden colour, not much of a head. Aroma and taste mainly of corn. Smooth and soft taste. Easy to drink. Though many people seem to dislike it, I enjoyed. (Was rated in December 2004, but I temporarily had lost the papers with results from this particular weekend)

Had this beer many times while growing up. I have not bothered to have one for several years now. Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a straw yellow color with a large fluffy head that lingers. The head is rather pretty really with lots of lacing. The aroma is light and sweet with strong notes of corn, a hint of hops and a vague spicy undertone. The flavor is corn, light malty and bit sour and has a very light hop presence. There is a slight tang on the finish. This brew is surprisingly inoffensive and drinkable but certainly does nothing noteworthy. But if your only choices are among macro you could do worse than this beer.

I have a cold and this still tastes so bad it is undrinkable. Only redeeming quality is the high abv.
