Tap at Mikkeller at Morebeer, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Pours darkish gold, only partially transparent, with fine white foam. Aroma is so unusual, because it gives coffee without being dark... Body and carbonation are average. Taste is fairly bitter, a little roasty. Final is average, with coffee traces remaining for a longer time.

(Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2023) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with notes of caramel, dark bread, toast and dried fruit. Malty, spicy taste with caramel, toast, dried fruit, rye bread and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

Op tap bij Mikkeller at Morebeer. Diepgouden kleur, witte kraag. Licht kruidig, gist, herbaal, bitter, straf hoewel de aanzet redelijk zoet is. Lichte body. OK.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ het Biermoment. Dutch brewery #546. Pitch black with a dense beige head. Roasted malts, coffee and bay leaf aroma. Sweet taste with a nice malt bitter finish. Very solid extra stout, a joy to drink.

(Keg at Arendsnest, 20230415) The beer poured black. Its head was large, lightly brown, dense and it lasted long. Aroma had burnt malts, toasted malts liquorice and ash. Palate was full bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, liquorice, ash, molasses and bitterness. Aftertaste had liquorice, ash and bitterness. A delicious burnt brew with complex flavours.

(Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 26 Aug 2022) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, wheaty nose with notes of bread, peaches, banana and clove. Malty, fruity taste with wheat, peaches, bread, banana and a mild grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Pours a clear brown colour and a rocky beige head with good retention. Aroma's: roasted, red fruit, sweetish. Retronasal follows this, a bit less roasted, a bit caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet, moderate roasty bitter. Medium bodied. Moderate bitter finish. Solid bock.
