Pours pitch black with a lasting beige head. Aroma's: big roast, coffee grind and indeed, bay leaves. Retronasal: roasted, sweetish, a bit umami, coffee, a bit red fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and firm roasted bitter. Medium bodied. Decent carbonation. Finishes with lots of roast, ash almost, quite bitter.

Pours a hazy deep golden colour and a dense, steady white head. Aroma's of caramel malts and banana, with clove retronasal, sweetish. Flavour is light moderate sweet with some wheaty fruitiness and light bitterness. Medium bodied, probably due to the higher ABV. Finishes light moderate bitter.

(Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 6 May 2022) Golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, citrus, orange peel and coffee. Fruity, hoppy taste with orange, apricots, caramel, fresh coffee and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, with the coffe character not too dominant. Nice one.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 4 May 2022) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, cacao and coffee. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, cacao, black bread and a generous coffee bitterness. More than medium body, quite dry. Really tasty and well made foreign stout. Very nice.

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', best before September 2022. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, qhite head. Sweetish, quite fruity, slightly grassy aroma of lime peel, pineapple and passion fruit. Slightly sweet, gently bitter, a little sourish, fairly fruity, slightly grassy and a bit resiny taste of passion fruit, grapefruit, lime peel and a touch of caramel, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly resiny and a bit tart finish. Medium body, very smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very refreshing and smooth, quite good!
