Nitro served. Red amber body and a creamy off white head. Malty, but weak aroma and a caramel-ish flavour. Average, but pleasant drink.

Dark reddish black with a thick capuccino nitro head. Nice nose of cold coffee and wet wood. Powdery cocoa with smoked peat notes, a little nutty, and light hoppy finale. Rather thin, but still good. Can from LCBO. 1 cup went to make Arroz con Pollo y cilantro.

500ml can with a widget. Black with a white coffee like small persistent head. Nutty aroma. Quite thin and watery body, with a roasty coffeish and creamy flavor. Left me quite dissapointed. Doubt I’ll be drinking this soon or even again.

Can w/ Widget Pours Black with a milky white creamy head like a nitrous beer should. Aromas are roasted nuts and bittersweet chocloate. Flavors are very "burnt" and almost ashtray like. Feel is very thin and the general taste is certainly not complex. A dry bitter trailer. I like stouts, but not these "dry" ones so much.

On draught at Nine Fine Irishmen in Las Vegas. This beer is a reddish amber color with a thin light beige head and very little lacing. Roasted malt aroma is difficult to detect. The mouthfeel is on the thin side, similar to other low-end Irish beers like Killian’s. Sweet malt flavor with a touch of caramel and hops. The finish is slick with just enough hops to even it out. The beer is OK but definitely not worth the $6 price tag at this joint.

2016 rerate. Bottled and made in the Netherlands. Eh. Well, since my 12-year old highschool kid rating is bloody retarded, I decided to rerate it. The fact that Hrabren ordered it for himself helped me make that decision, or rather made me make that decision (thanks man!). Poured a clear barely amber body with a small white head. No, this isn’t red by anyone’s measures, this barely passes as amber. But let’s carry on. It’s hardly the same beer I’ve had in 2004, as I really do remember how it looked back then, but hey, if Heineken says it is... Aroma... well, better than expected. A touch of dried fruit here, a touch of caramel there. Soft sweetish taste, dried figs. Had worse examples of this laughable style. Ends vaguely bitterish. OK watery beer that I would never pay this amount of money again. Thankfully, I didn’t now. But, again, you can do much worse.2004 rating:Bottle at an Irish pub in Lloret Del Mar, Spain. The head was pretty good, and the colour was a really nice red/brown shade, and I was pretty optimistic about it then, my opinion went a bit down after drinking it, but it’s still a nice beer, I guess. I remember it being a little less sweet then I thought it would be, but the taste had a bit of a kick, and I enjoyed downing it. Unfortunately, I don’t remember much about the specifics about its taste. 6/4/5/3/13

500 ml can, bought in Norway. ABV here is 4.7%, to permit the beer being sold in our grocery stores. Canned (and watered down?) in Norway by Hansa-Borg Bryggerier. Reddish brown colour, good head. Aroma is malty with caramel, hints of oak and spices. Full malty flavour, nicely rounded, hints of caramel and herbs. Aftertaste is not unpleasant, but short and a bit watery. This beer is better than I expected, and much better than Kilkenny.
