Decent supermarket IPA that has some floral and orangey hop notes, along with a medium bitterness, some pine and a fair amount of chewy malt.

Bottle. Dark amber, almost black body under a dense beige head. Aroma of dark malt and coffee. Taste is medium sweet, dark malt, dry fruit and chocolate. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Nice, but missing the little extra.

100ml from tap at Empório da Cerveja,Sao Paulo. Almost black color, small tan head. Smells of berry notes, earthy, some dill, but sourish. Ok smell. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes berry notes, earthy, light bitter chocolate, bit bretty, peppery, marzipan. Finishes dry and lightly roasty bitter with notes of bretty, peppery and chocolaty notes. Interesting, not sure if the sour notes are intentional, its a bit more noticeable on the smell. Taste is pretty good though, taste light for 7%. Only when adding the beer did I learn that this was aged on Madeira barrels, so I guess it makes sense that it has some sour notes. 6,4,7,3,13

Tap at Bar do Urso Pinheiros, São Paulo, Brazil. Pours rather dark brown, with fine cream-colored foam, kind of unattractive. Aroma is delicate of coffee and chocolate. Body is average with good carbonation, maybe excessive. Taste is medium sweet and moderately bitter, from roastiness. Final is average.

Near clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel malt, cardboard and fruity hops. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Sampled at THT April. Almost clear amber with off white head. Caramel, cardboard, dank hops, dank weeds, dusty herbs, soft cheese. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied.

KØLF 080319.Black color with a tan head. Aroma is coffee, alcohol, roasted malt. Flavor is roasted malt, coffeee, alcohol, chocolate, dried fruits. Bitter finish. Nice beer.
