Location: 16 oz can from Nikki's Liquors, 4/17/15

Aroma: Has a heavily caramel malt aroma, other malts, plus some herbal and floral notes
Appearance: This one pours an unclear amber color with a frothy beige head and medium lace
Flavor: The malts dominate this one, strongly caramel, somewhat sweet, the bitterness is mild
Palate: Medium bodied, fairly sticky, with a soft carbonation, and a somewhat sticky finish
Overall Impression: I wasn't a huge fan of this beer. There's just too much caramel without enough hops to balance it out.

New beer distributors, nyc can: pours near black with unexciting head. Aroma is coffee and vanilla. Taste is a bit sweet. Nice notes of vanilla... Relatively subtle. In honesty, i do not see where this super high rating is coming from... This average stout.

New Beer Distributors, NYC can: Pours a dull, ugly hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is a wee bit of hops, some sugar, and a light fruitiness. Taste is much the same with a slight bit of hops in the finish. Slightly sweet. Not that memorable.

16 oz. can purchased at the Beer Store, Nashua, NH. Pours pitch black with lasting fluffy head. Aroma shows light roast with a moderate amount of earthy pine. I enjoy the aroma.

The Flavor show the nice lingering pine throughout the sip with a decent amount of roast. Thicker caramel and burnt malts supports the pine and mild notes of citrus. Citrus only found when it was real warm in the last 7 oz. of the beer. (Sipped this slow) secondary tones of coffee. The texture is dry with a decent medium to fuller body. A nice drink.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Caramel and tropical fruit aromas. Sweet caramel and dough upfront turning to resin and tropical fruit in the lasting finish.
