12 oz bottle-pours a rich tan head and slightly hazed brown/copper color. Aroma is sweet medium malt-caramel, some spice/earthy, nutty, resin/pine. Taste is some slickness/ sweet medium malt-caramel, some spice/earthy, nutty, resin/pine-hops with some bite, alcohol. Solid in style of an American BW, nice. Medium body. OK effervescence/carbonation.

12 oz bottle from mcbackus; Nose of flowery hops and caramel with some dark fruit and sweet citrus thrown in; (almost barleywineish) Hazy tarnished copper colorwith a medium straw head; flavor has hop bitterness, toffee, and light sweet fruitiness; finish is nmildly bitter.

12oz bottle pours clear copper with nice white head. The aroma has notes of medium roasted malts, sweeter malts, a mild pulse of grapefruit hops and faint caramel. The taste begins sweet with malts that slowly turn more and more roasty as the taste moves forward. The grapefruit hop note noted in the nose begins a bit timid but grows to become nearly tepid in hop bitterness as the finish approaches. This beer leaves behind mostly pine and grapefruit hop bitterness along with some crystal malt roastiness lingering into the after taste.

Ok, borders on sweet stout territory. The sweet stout of imperials. Scary black stout with a roasty strong sweet aroma. Big black and bitter. Tarry bitter but behaved at times or perhaps my palate is becoming insensitive to impy wimpy stouts? Tarry bittier over the top stout experience. Will not buy again. Good example of the style. It was there and had to try it.

Aroma of spruce or pine. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager appearance. Taste is heavy medicianl hops, but less of a preservative feel than most IPA. Feels like I’m chewing on green grapefruit rinds. Decent mild carbonation. Bitter lingering finish, good example of this rotten style. Somebody bought this for me, I normally would not buy an IPA myself.

Bottle. Banana, clove, and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy orange-yellow color with slight head. Ripe banana, clove, and wheat malt flavor. Nice body. A very well made Hefe.

bottle - Pours yellow with light haze, very little head, and a mild, citrus aroma. The flavor is sweet and yeasty with a little citrus. It’s light on the palate without being watery. Overall it’s fairly average.

12 oz. bottle from mj. Best before Feb-08 on label. Pour is clear orange gold with a one inch white head. Aroma of some sweetness, mostly malt biscuit sweetness, though it blends well with a nice ripe orange sweetness as well. Further back in the aroma is resin and earthiness. Taste has a nice blend of the sweet malt and citrus hops. Finish is wet, and a bit longer than I would like. Palate is nice and full, hiding the fairly high ABV (for an IPA). Nice beer all around, thanks for sharing this one Mike!

Nice looking pour with a crystal clear amber color and thin off white head. Healthy aroma of caramel, dark fruit candy and hints of alcohol. The flavor is just like the aroma with plum, date and cherry flavored hard candy. Beyond that are mild caramelized malts and caramel candy flavors. Near the end there seems to be a faint toffee note. This could probably use a bit more age.

Thanks to Suttree for sharing this one. Hazy,deep gold body that receives a what is left of a small, fleeting off-white head. Malt and alcohol dominates the aroma. Some spice comes in afterward. Syrupy sweet, close to cough syrup. Smooth, hides it’s alcohol level well. Not bad for a Weizenbock if t just wasn’t so overly sweet.
