A very nice beer. Pures light golden with a thin white head. Nice aroma and complex taste. Slightly bitter.

(bottle) Clear golden colour with a big steady white foam. Strong grainy malty nose with a tinge of hops. Slightly sweet malty flavour. Initially malty taste turning into a crispy hopbitter finish. A mild Pilsener, easy going.

(Bottle 50 cl) Another Gambrinus-variety, this time the lighter "Desitka". Typically paler, lighter in body, lighter in flavours. But also malty, soft and quenching. One of the better Czech light pilseners.

(Bottle 50 cl) In my version this is called: "Pilsner Urquell Desitka" - guess it’s the same - the ABV is. Pretty identical to the "real" Urquell just lighter in body, buth with the same hoppines, I believe. Still quite don’t understand why the Czechs brew these slighly lighter yet very similar beers. Somebody told me, it had to do with the prices of "Premium" beers going up, making a market for lighter and cheaper beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Nicely golden with a decent head. Fantastic malty AND flowery nose. Very soft mouthfeel in spite of the very pronounced hoppiness - although it apperently has diminished in recent years. A very classic nice pilsener. THE pilsener...

(Bottle 50 cl) Fully golden with a rather tall and stable head. Malty and well-balanced with the hops - although less hoppy than the brother-brew Urquell.

(Bottle 50 cl) Fully golden, not much head. A softer, more malty, less bitter beer than the same brewery’s Urquell. Very rounded and pleasant pilsener.

Bottle: dark yellow, almost amber coloured, big fluffy, lasting off-white head; fruity nose with some hints of herbal hoppiness and a sourish tinge; beginning sweet-malty, quickly switching to a dry, slightly bitter finish with some metallic tinge; kind of unharmonic, tart, not very aromatic. Poor: this is the best selling Lager in the czech republic, shame on SAB !

Draught at an "Irish" theme pub in Prague. Waitress said plato was 10 when I asked. Hope I’m rating the right beer. Golden colour, low head. Malt and fruits aroma. Moderately malty pale lager, low bitterness. Easy drinking, but unremarkable.
