Old rating from 2008 - 330ml bottle, pours golden with a white head. Aromas & tastes of honey, grain, flora, earth & malt. Moderate body. Moderate bitter finish

Can. This is still first and foremost a Birell, with all of its classic character. Only a little ambiguous hops character slapped on top. Overall a fail, considering how easy it is to just take a successfull non-alco beer recipe and just add hops. You literally had one job. You failed.

Tap at Pult with the Grells. Hazy golden body, off-white head, thick and lasting head. Herbal, spicy, floral aroma, low smoke, dry. Low smoke in the sweetish taste, malt-driven, lightly meaty, bit herbal, low metallic touches, but otherwise nice. Low bitterness. Shame about that metallic touch, this is otherwise quite a tasty, well balanced beer!

* Unpleasant, worty, not IPA. *
Clear golden. Medium, white head. Light floral hops aroma, light fruity. Wort taste, light bitter. Harsh bitter finish.

From tap @ Srdcovka. Head is big, egg-white, good retention. Colour is gold, almost clear. Aroma is nice fruity, citrus, lemon peels, bit candy. Taste is medium malty base, light hoppy, bit bready, aroma is better than taste, soft carbonation, ok, drinkable.

Bottle. My late Opa from Germany turned me on to this beer. Even so, I really didn’t care for it. It is way too bitter for me. The color and aroma are not bad but after drinking it I really didn’t care to have another.
