Tiny paper wrapped bottle from the brewery store shared tonight with Todd. Dark brown liquid with a minimal off white head that dissipates quickly. Big fruity wine and port like aromas with bits of caramelized sugars and hints of soy. Sweet sugary fruity flavors with hints of alcohol. Big chewy syrupy mouthfeel with minimal carbonation. An incredible sipper, I just wish I tried this in front of a fire on a cold winters night.

On tap at Hopcat Madison. Pours a hazy light gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a sweet Brett note with s decent amount of flora and light fruits. Flavor is full of sweet light fruits with a bit of light grain and a hint of tartness.

Bottleshare at Leighton’s Stratoflat. Thanks to Leighton. Light haze on this very pale gold beer, big white head. Palate is very light and mildly crisp. Fair bit of floral pear - fairly sweet. Tangy light finish. Tastes like a skewed Perry! Inoffensive.

Draft. Slightly hazy golden straw color, massive white head. Nice funky, dusty, peppery barnyard aroma. Taste is ripe lemon, slightly flat. Decent enough.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s place. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. Aroma is sweet pear drop, white peach, low lemon. Translucent yellow / straw coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Flavour is composed of crisp tangy white peach, apricot, wheat, apricot. Palate is crisp, sweet, grainy wheat, highish carbonation. Ok. Not sour enough.

Bottle shared in London - picked up in New England. Pours clear pale yellow with a creamy white head. The nose has some tangy fruits, pear, lemon. Light sweet flavor with faint lemony acidity, some pale bread, maybe cereal. Light bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Fairly clean on the finish, lightly tart, with soft lemon, some bready sugars. A little bit muted but OK on the whole.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours hazy pale gold with a thick white head. The nose is sweet, lactic, pear cheesecake, pear drops, barnyard and tang. The taste is crisp, tart, lactic, pear skin, apple skin, apple tango, light acidity, barnyard and grainy action with a short, dry finish. Lightish body and average, prickly carbonation. Pear cheesecake vibe. So - so.

Location: 375 ml bottle from Winooski Beverage, 7/31/15, Rating # 4750! Will this be my lasting rating of July? If so it's July 2015 Rating # 124, which is quite a prolific month for me.

Aroma: The aroma is funky and a little fruity, some mild rotten egg notes hurt the aroma for me
Appearance: Pours an orange color with a sheeting head and some fairly strong lacing
Flavor: The taste is similar, funky, slightly unpleasant, something's just a little off
Palate: It has a decent mouthfeel, dry, funky, soft carbonation, and a fairly clean feel
Overall Impression: This beer is all over the map for me. There's some really good stuff here (the mouthfeel, the look, some of the aroma and flavor) and some really off-putting stuff as well (particularly in the flavor, there's a hint of it in the aroma, but it really comes out in the flavor). Like I said, all over the map.
