Can from the Offie & Toffee. It pours clear gold with a small white head. The aroma is sweet grapefruit, pine needles, grass, hay, lemongrass and floral. The taste is bitter, spicy, floral, grass, grapefruit, waxy lemon, lemongrass and pine needles with a dry, peppery finish. Medium body and average carbonation. A bit spicy and weak if truth be told. OK, but not their best.

Can at home in London - picked up at the London Brewers Market. Pours unclear gold with a creamy, white head. Whispers of strawberry juice in the aroma, some pale bread, a very faint metallic note. Light sweet flavour with pleasantly restrained but still present strawberry character, biscuity malts, a little bitter hay, some lemon rind. Light bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, with further impressions of strawberry, faint seedy bitterness, more pale biscuits. Overall, this is a pretty well executed beer. It doesn’t wow, but it gets the job done. It’s very drinkable stuff.

Can at home in London - sourced from the London Brewers Market. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy, white head. There’s a slight raw hop aroma, along with citrus rind, minerals, dry pale malts. Light sweet flavour with prominent pithy citrus, grapefruit peel, more minerals, pale grains. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry and flinty on the finish, with more pithy citrus notes, slight pine needle bitterness, some straw, dried pale bread. Given all the hops in this one, the hop character is actually fairly mellow, and somewhat neutered by that flinty mineral note. Overall, drinkable stuff but not LBF’s best.
