On tap at Hiltl’s in Zurich (Europe’s oldest vegetarian restaurant. Organic and unfiltered according to the menu - definitely unfiltered! A hazy pale amber pour with a tight white head; grainy aroma; light grainy taste, with a trace of citrus in the finish. Pleasant enough, but didn’t stand up to the vege curry.

Bottle at Restaurant Schlauch, Zurich, Switzerland, Friday 24th June 2016. Pours lemony silvery gold with a white head. Soft in the mouth, a little sweet but pretty refreshing, a little metallic and mineral twangy bite, dry end. Like it. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Very murky orange color with white head that goes down quickly. Aroma is bubble gum, slightly fruity. Taste is similar, slightly unpleasant bubble gum feeling. No banana, not too yeasty. A big disappointment.

Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is corn grains, slightly sweet aroma. Taste is very sweet, corn. A standard boring Lager. Mouthfeel is smoother than expected.

On tap at the brewpub. Metallic aroma, some low malts. Very hoppy and bitter even for a pils, but quite unbalanced. The hops appears in several stages but none feels right.

Pours amber, a bit darker shade, topped with a decent tan colored head. Malty aroma with dominant herbal presence. Tste starts sweet, some caramel notes and herbs, bittery, spicy in the finish. Not great, not unpleasant. Soemthing in the middle.

Ein Zwickel, das als Wirtshausbier durchgehen könnte. Es hat getreidige und hefige Noten und eine dezente Hopfenwürze. Dadurch wird es schön süffig undd lässt sich angenehm trinekn. NIcht die große Aromenexplosion, aber ein solides, trübes Zwickel.
