Little Goldsmiths Farm, Beechy Road, Blackboys, Uckfield, TN22 5JG, England
Description
Brewery co-founders Jamie, Chester and Peter have been close friends since primary school. An inseparable trio, their days were mostly spent outside, riding bikes and playing cricket – all in the ‘Three Acres’. They still do, with a few evenings at the pub thrown in for good measure.
Growing up in the Sussex countryside, surrounded by farmland, the boys gained a great respect for the outdoors, good beer and the British country pub.
All of these things, alongside a growing interest in home-brewing, inspired the three of them to start Three Acre Brewery in the autumn of 2018.

Handpull cask at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Light slightly yellowish gold and a little hazy. Floral, spicy aroma, buttery caramel, orange blossom honey. Sweet taste, a little sickly but not impossible. Somewhat jarring hoppy bitterness in the very finish. Thicker body than expected for the ABV with soft carbonation. Pretty good but not spectacular.

(Cask at Craft Beer St Mary Axe, London, 17 July 2026) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with citrus, nectarine, stone fruits and herbs. Fruity taste with notes of citrus, mixed fruit salad, pineapple, soft malt and a gentle citric/floral bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Refreshing and summery. Nice one.

Keg draught at the George, Twickenham. Golden brown, a bit hazy with a small film of off-white head. Stone fruit and tropical fruit on the nose but its muted and messy. A little bit of dirty malt. Sweet malty taste, more tropical fruit, some plum. Nice weighty body with low to medium carbonation. Lots of issues but ends up not too bad.

Keg at CBJ. Clear amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, decent fine carbonation late on. Soft malts, a little tangy caramel. Ripe orange, overripe. Modest peel. Light pine. Light finish. Trad west Coast and thus not my bag.
