Bouteille: Orangey to light amber coloured, hazy, average off-white foam; mild sweetish-fruity and dark-malty nose, presumably faint signs of infection detectable; light to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, combined with a delicate acidity, not soft and pretty light bodied for a Doppelkozel; moderate fruity-sweetish finish, both bitterness and acidity detectable. Bottle: Cloudy, golden to orangey, smaller off-white foamy layer; solid piney and orangey hoppy nose, some yeasty-cellary notes detectable, as well a subdued pale malty background; moderate to solid dryish bitter and mildly sweet flavour, almost medium bodied, relatively soft; lingering dry lemony to piney-hoppy finish, slightly balanced by some malty spots. (bottle, as Maxbrauerei India Pale Ale, 6.5%) Cloudy, golden colour with a thick and slightly off-white foamy head. Discreetly IPA-aroma of fruity hops, including notes of grapefruit and a tinge of grass, backed by a delicately touch of cara-malt, grains, as well as phenolic yeasty spice. Moderately sweet-bitter flavour with a mildly sourish tart edge, medium to light bodied with a modest carbonation. Mildly cara-malty base with spicy and slightly fruity hops; a tad slim sweet-bitter and mildly spicy hoppy finish with sour-fruity notes. Not a bad brew, but disappointing as an IPA. 24.IV.15

500ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, amber colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Herbal hoppy aroma, a spicy yeasty touch, mild and cautious caramel malty background. Taste is slightly sweet malty, minimally chocolately, unspecifically fruity, undefinable hoppy, minimally tart; seemingly in the ultimate state right before turning sour.

500ml bottle. Hazy, orangey golden colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grassy and herbal hoppy aroma, a grapefruit touch, nectarine, spicy hints of hay. Taste is slightly tart, fruity and grassy hoppy overtones, hints of nectarine. Another example that shows: it’s not all done solely with the hops.

Fruity, yeasty aroma, hints of red berries, cherries, some yeasty spiciness. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty, a chocolately touch, cautious fruity remnants.

bottle from Bierpost. Hazy, almost cloudy golden yellow, tiny head at first, completely gone after a few seconds. Yeasty-fruity nose. Grainy malty start, some nice and bitter hops that also have a fruity, grassy touch.
