Tap. Pours cloudy golden pale amber with a small white head that dissipates fairly quickly with some lacing. Aroma is fresh picked pine needles, field grass, bit of darkness. Very light sweet, quite dry actually, light bitter, dank and piney. Light body, nice!

Bottle. Pours with a black body, purple highlights off white head. Roasty aromas that turn earthy and vegetal. Some mulberries, earthy, funky. Flavors are mildly sour, some accentuated tart notes fruit. Earthy, dry juicy. Medium tart. Roasty. Lively bubbles. Tart, fruity, vinous, mild tannin.

Poured from a 750mL bottle. Aroma is moderately acidic with a nice citrus note and some medium light grains of paradise character. Moderate wheat note balances out the citrus and spice. Pours a slightly cloudy, very pale yellow with a small, thin, white head that recedes quickly to the edges. Faint lacing and no legs. Flavor had moderate acidity with quite a bit of orange character and some lemon as well. Moderate wheat notes with lighter grains of paradise character. Faint bitterness with a dry finish. Some lingering citrus and spice. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with light carbonation; this bottle did not carb up very well. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall the flavor and aroma are very nice but the lack of carbonation hurts it and give it a bit of a chewy mouthfeel. Well balanced acidity with nice orange character and a good, light spice note.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma has faint roast and moderate toasted bread with some nice rye spice. Moderate fruitiness with stone and a hint of citrus. Light pepper notes. Pours dark brown with a small, light tan head that lingers on the edges. Light lacing and medium small legs. Flavor has a light sweetness with moderate tropical and stone fruit notes. Medium toasted bread with moderately strong rye character. Light toast notes and medium light bitterness. A bit of a mineral character. A bit of an astringency to it. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low but present astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall a pretty nice Saison with a lot of rye flavor but the fruitiness still shines through. A bit of astringency is a little off an unexpected in a SARA beer.

Tap. Pours opaque black, small creamy tan head, dissipates fairly quickly, good lacing. Aroma is quite roasty, ash, earthy. Flavor is quite light sweet, medium bitter, ashy, roasty, a bit of cocoa. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. My first non tart stout from Sara, and its a hit!

Pours light orange-ish yellow. It’s quite hazy, completely clouded over. Medium-sized head. Nice and thick. Pure white. Lots of bubbles on the walls of the glass. The aroma is juicy and full of excellent hop flavor. There’s pine, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, blackberry, lemon, grass. Nice dank aroma. As it warms, it gets increasingly juicy. Just a little bit of biscuity malt character. I probably wouldn’t notice it without a taste, but the mineral flavor also comes through. It’s a sorta chalky water note, hard to describe, but it seems to be common to the recent crop of excellent hoppy beers. The taste is juicy with the same dank hop flavor and a very pleasant mineral note. Very easy to drink. Enough sweetness to bring out the hop flavors, but the beer finishes dry. Moderately bitter. Lots of hop flavor in the taste. Smooth feel. Normal carbonation, though I guess that’s to be expected as it’s a growler fill. Very good IPA. Extremely easy to drink. Refreshing. Lots of flavor. Good bitterness level.

Tap. Pours cloudy mahogany, small diminishing beige head, dissipates to a ring and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is herbal, sage, roasted malts, basil. Flavor is less herbal, light sweet, a bit roasty, light rye notes, but more of a rye bread hearty presence rather than spicy, still a bit of sage. Medium body, smooth, sharp carbonation.

Tap. Cloudy chestnut, small creamy tan head, nice lacing. Aroma is malty, biscuit , pumpernikle, roasted malt, ash, earth. Flavor its light plus sweet, light bitter, a bit of spice, rich malty, touch of pepper. Medium plus body, creamy. Hint of anise.
