12 oz tulip glass draft at Sante Adairius Oakland Arbor in Oakland, California. The pour is a black brown, opaque, with a foamy tan head. Nice thick lace left behind on the glass. The aroma is tart, sweetness, wheat grain, and the full amaro and wood. The taste is a bright sour tart citrus, closely followed by wood and the amaro booziness carries the finish. The palate is medium to heavier bodied with soft carbonation and the wood amaro and tart sour carrying the lingering finish. Almost no alcohol presence. Well constructed.

SARA 1662 West Coast DIPA
Can shared at tasting. A bit cloudy golden color, medium sized white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, hops, a bit metallic, quite dry bitter. Hmm not my kind of DIPA. I miss old school hops and sticky resinous hoppiness. Alright though. 7-7-7-7-7

Don't know the batch. Medium amber, blueish tinge. Medium head. Tart. Off-dry, nice blueberry character, it’s dry and refined, and that allows the oak and the bugs to shine.
