Cask @ The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury. Had to double check the spelling of the name a few times before adding. Pours deep amber, small off white head. Lightly sweet malt aroma with some dried fruit. Taste is sweet malt with some rosy plums but otherwise fairly standard Six Bells faire.

Cask, on gravity, at Tewkesbury Winter Beer Festival, 5/2/2016. Golden in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Easy drinking beer, with some leafy hops, sweetish malts, hedgerow fruits and moderately bitter finish. Good.

Gravity poured cask pint at the 1st CAMRA beer festival in Shifnal, Shropshire on 5th Nov 2015. Chestnut coloured brew with an off-white head that hung around. Malty, fruity and dry tasting with an aroma that hinted of what the flavours would be. Decent, without getting me excited.

5th Oct 2015: hand-pulled half-pint shared with a certain Traveller known as Gene, our last beer together on his ’do Shropshire in a day’ visit. Good looking beer, amber coloured with a full white crown. Malts lead the way in both the nose and taste, caramel esters rule the aroma and malty molasses dominate the flavour, mild fruitiness within the brew but mostly malts. My sweet tooth liked it.

Cask @ Admiral Benbow, Shrewsbury in the company of Travlr & haddock. Pours a deep clear amber with good foamy head. Malt-forward with a prominent hop fruitiness. A little more going on than the average BBB.
