Hand-pulled half-pint in The Cock Hotel, Wellington Shropshire on 23rd Jan 2015. Almost black in colour with a good tanned head. Really malty in both the aroma and taste, some liquorice notes also, fairly dry especially towards the end of each sip. Decent.

Gravity pour at the 24th Shrewsbury CAMRA beer festival and then hand-pulled at the brewpub the day after, on 7th Nov 2014. Mid-brown body, clear and clean, off-white head. Malty brew with a semi-sweet nose and taste base, hops well below the radar throughout.

Cask @ Admiral Benbow, Shrewsbury. Standard Six Bells, light, refreshing, balanced, easy-drinking golden ale.. One of those where nothing really jumps out at you so I’ll just leave it at that.
