Matt Hammond originally founded the brewery as Shortts Farm Brewery but dropped Farm from the brewery name in 2015.

Thin rocky off white head left a cover on a caramel coloured still body. Minimal malt aroma. Medium bodied, soft on the tongue with a cloying back. Bitter tangy tastes with spices, tea, malt & sweet berries. Tasty.

23/4/2020. Sample courtesy of the SHIG, cheers! Pours clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is hoppy and grassy, malt, grapefruit and straw. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Slight dryness to finish. Quite nicely done, just about the best I’ve had from this brewery.

Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Sweet cakey finish. 7363-13. 28/10/2021. Cask at the Kings Head, Norwich. Darker than the one I tried in Colchester, more fruity with some liquorice notes. Nice bramble sour edge. Enjoyed this more. 7383-14.

Fra cask på GBBF aug-19: brunsvart med kort bruseskum. En maltdrevet, lett mld hvor jeg får assosiasjoner til havrekjeks, lys sjokolade, solbær og litt lær. Fairly tasty but quite unassuming.
