This is the first time I have encountered the beers from this brewer. Sampled from a 12 oz green bottle this beer poured a dark golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is sour, bitter, citrusy and tart. The flavor is very tart and bitter with a hint of vinegar and a sour tangy finish. The body is light and airy and rather pleasant.

Bottle. Strong sour raspberry and musty basement aroma. Reddish brown color with small head. Sweet raspberry up front - more than Cantillon but less than Lindemans. A tart-bitter middle and a light musty finish. Powdery aftertaste. Good but probably too sweet for the traditionalist and too sour for the dessert beer lover. Still I really enjoyed the raspberry flavor - very natural.

Pours a bright rosy red into a tumbler. Slight head hugs the rim. Sharp lambic notes -- no sign of the kriek. Sharp lactic sour patch with very slight sour cherry undertone. Lasting lactic finish. Very enjoyable and refreshing.

Very young lambic from the reopened Oud Beersel brewery, draught of course Fully hazy orange, no head. Spring flowers, wood and freshly cut plywood, lime tree flowers ( lindenbloesem ). Very dry, again lime blossom, lime tea. Very light, and somehow, it doesn’t taste finished, needs absolutely more ripening. I cannot yet take the "gueuze" and "kriek" seriously as from the new brewery.

Bottle. Very acidic aroma with a hint of cherries. Almost clear, beautiful red colour. Small pink head. The flavour is quite bitter, but not very acidic. Also has some earthiness and of course cherries. The aftertaste is harshly bitter. Mouthfeel is very swelling.

Bottle. BB NOV 08. Fruity, perfumy, soapy aroma (not unpleasant). Dark golden colour. Very big, stable white head. The flavour is sweet but also has a horrible band aid, phenol flavour. Crappy plasterøl.

Bottled, BBE November, 2008 Clear, blond body. Nice creamy, white head. Quite unpleasant, alcoholic aroma of spices (coriander), javel (cleaning product), yeast. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Actually it has a quite weak flavour, somewhat watery. Some hints of malts in the flavour too. Medium bodied. Tastes like (as Joris mentionnes) infection. I hope the first bottles of their gueuze and kriek will be better than this one.
