Veiled orange beer, under a small if stable yellowish head. Sweet grains, dried herbs, straw, hot malts, toast, bit of caramel and faraway pine. Quite bitter onset, but very fast settling into a bit grainy, neutral flavour. Some bitterness returns in the finish, but way more demure. There's also a faint acidity as from the mashsouring. All flavours slightly powering up once a bit warmed up. Feels very carbonated, almost as sparkling water, way more than visible. Watery aftertaste, more flat; maybe medium bodied. I'm left searching a tad for all this 'quote' finesse and complexity 'unquote'. And finally I'm really at a loss about its exact place of manufacturing...

17 March 2024. At In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst. Shared with the lovely Anke!

A: murky red, no head.
A: wet clove, apothecary, liquorice, cough syrup, cherry.
T: bitter clove, medicinal cough syrup, some sour cherry.
F: old herbal hops, medicine, faint tart cherry pit.
P: light to medium body, slick texture, flat carbonation.
Gimmicky but not that good.

0.75l bottle at Beergeek Bar. Huge thanks Ruslan for sharing! Shiny ruby body, no head. Sweetish, tart apple aroma, light cherries, quite fresh-seeming! Dry taste, cherries, fresh apple notes, vinuous-ciderish, lightly leathery maybe, slightly soapy. Still, a fun cider to try!

Huge, off-white head, bit fluffy, over very Champenoise carbonated orangey-yellow beer. Horseblanket, Brettanomyces, green and other herbs. Bit sticky-leathery aroma. Fresh flavour with again green herbs and of course, horseblanket, saddlesoap. Exotic green fruit, sorrel. Finish is a bit sharp, burning MF. Indeed Champenoise pearling, and very well-carbonated. Very slick, tittilating MF. Light acidburn and -thinning. Indeed utterly Champenoise version of lambic - how they create the CO² is anybody's guess.
Txs to Stef!

Poured from 375mL bottle (2021 vintage). Hazy dull orangey amber with full white head. Weird phenolic funk with very feint esters, loses the a lot of the quality of regular Bersalis Tripel and add some weird phenolic funk notes that doesn't compliment that beer. Meh

Amber, slight haze, fairly thick head. Aroma is interesting, there's some wood, maybe a touch of brett but not much, mellow malt. Smells neither like a tripel nor an Oud Beersel product. On the palate, there's a big tartness, buggy, port barrel, figs, actually a lot of complexity. For something that seems to lack on the nose, there is a lot on the palate.
