Bottled version. Dark golden fading into light orange, slightest bit of haziness. Medium sized, but quite dense and creamy white head. Very good retention, especially for a lager, and nice lacing. Average intensity in a fine, interesting aroma. Lightest crackery malts base, a honeyish background, light fruity notes (apple most noticeable), and a grassy, slightly flowery dry feeling to balance the sweetness. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter, with overall a slight sweet edge in the mouth and a relatively dry, bitter edge in finish and aftertaste. Probably dried and more bitter than your average keller, but still very much in good balance. Taste notes more or less follow the aroma. Quite light bodied with low to medium carbonation, resulting in classicly easy, highly drinkable mouthfeel. Guess the draft version must be even better, but the bottle version is definitely worth it too.

Självrunnen at Zum Franziskaner. Golden with a large white head. Aroma of malt, hops, bread and some herbs. The same in the taste. The body was medium and the finish quite bitter. A decent one.

Golden color, maybe even darker. Plum aroma. Malty flavor with an upcoming bitterness. Nutty, apple, peach. Somewhat dirty, especially in the aftertaste. Tasty Franconian farmhouse pilsener that needs further improvement. Re-rate: bottle: pale colored, a bit hazy. Flowery honey-like citric aroma. Hoppy, citric, almost powdery flavor. Hoppy, oily aftertaste with plastic. Low on carbon. Very un-pilsener like beer.

Blonde and cloudy. Slight lemon aroma, somewhat flowery. Fine hopbitter flavor with a hint of lemon and a hint of glue. Hopbitter aftertaste. Well made and tasty kellerbier, lightyears away from more industrial brews. Pale color, slightly cloudy. Fresh cheese aroma. Hoppy flavor with fresh cheese and citrus. Hoppy, oily aftertaste. there is a lot of character and even some brett character in this kellerbier.
