Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. An amber/dark golden coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Musty tropical fruit aroma. Tastes quite heavy, bitter, slight tropical fruit and a little unbalanced. I was expecting a wow beer from Arbor but this was far from it.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy orange with no head. Aroma is mango and bread. Taste has sweet mango to start. Caramel and grapefruit in the finish. Good beer but shame the bottle conditioning hasn’t worked.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 19/05/2012.The usual clear gold colour with a slight white head. Slightly lemony aroma, with a touch of nettle and cereal malts. Flavour had a touch of citrus, some more robust hedgerow fruit and a lingering, bitter finish. Unusual and enjoyable.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 19/05/2012. Per the pump clip, this is a coffee infused mild, which might be a contradiction. Deep, reddish brown with a slight, off-white head. An aroma of camp coffee, berry fruits and a touch of caramel. The flavour was similar, with plenty more fruit, before some roasted coffee beans and a gently bitter finish. A great low ABV beer.

On tap at Tap East. Hazy amber beer, good cream coloured head. Palate is light and smooth. Mild orange hops, a little tang. Mild malt, just a hint of rye. Inevitably a bit thin but it’s an inoffensive beer.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 19/05/2012. Golden with a slight white head. Big, tropical fruit and grassy hop aroma. Flavour had a touch of creamy malt sweetness, before more grapefruit and pineapple, leading to a dry, slightly rasping finish. Good stuff.

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear, dark red-brown with a foamy, light tan foam head. Holds a lovely aroma of dirt, dark bread, roasted malts, burnt cocoa and a bit of dark sugar. Medium sweet flavor with a wonderful cross between smokey and roasty malts. Some good minerals, dark cocoa, rocks, burnt sugar, burnt earth and light grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly dry and smokey to finish with plenty of roasty, almost burnt malts, baking cocoa, faint vanilla, burnt toast, dirt. A really nice, smokey porter. Pretty solid complexity and still very drinkable.

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear, yellow with a bubbly, white head. Big ripe citrus nose, some rind and grass. Medium sweet flavor, some ripe orange, grainy malts, light pine, grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky, resinous finish, plenty more ripe and faintly tangy citrus, light alcohol, hints of toasty sugar. Interesting stuff. It’s OK.

Bottle from Grape & Grind, Bristol. Pale gold in colour with a momentary white head. Light aroma of grapefruit and lemons, with a suggestion of bread malts and floral air freshener. Flavour was sweetish, with plenty more citrus fruit, solid biscuity malts and a dry, lingering finish. Enjoyable. That’s my century of Arbor beers. Plenty more to come I hope....
