Description

On tap @Buskers Pub (Rome). Dorata limpida, schiuma bianca media. In bocca è maltata all'attacco con chiusura amara medio-leggera. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione media.

Pours light amber, with quite a huge change in color (plain golden) if seen through light; moderately hazy. Average sized white head, recedes relatively quick but still leaves some lacing. Reasonably intense and nicely fresh aroma: a quite strong piney/resinous component, fresh grass, citric notes (mainly tangerine, lighter lemon/lime and grapefruit). Taste notes follow the aroma. Medium sweetness, medium to high bitterness; a slight bitter edge in the mouth and a nicely dry and clean finish/aftertaste with a bit of piney/resinous reminiscence. There's not much complexity but the beer is very clean, nicely fresh and very well balanced. Medium or slightly below medium bodied, average or slightly above carbonation; feels nicely lively and super easily drinkable. Nothing new here, but overall a perfectly classic interpretation of a west coast ipa, and very accomplished at that.

Pours a slightly pale golden, almost perfectly transparent. A quite unexpectedly big, frothy white head shows quite good retention and nice lacing. Average intensity in a nicely clean aroma: the slightest base of cereal and white bread under a pretty vivid per style herbal/grassy and slightly floral hoppiness. Delicate fruity notes of yellow/green apple with a lemonish hint. Taste notes follow the aroma closely; simplicity and tidiness define this beer but there's an interesting enough flavour profile, with a bit more bitterness than the average kolsch. Overall balanced in the mouth with a slight bittering edge in a rather dry, clean, slightly floral finish/aftertaste. Very accomplished. Light bodied with medium, fine bubbled carbonation; feels super easy to drink and nicely lively at the same time. An excellent example of the style.

Pours light orange to dark golden with a bit of haziness. Doesn't form much head: white, large bubbled, soon dissipating. A nicely vivid and at the same time soft aroma: fresh citric hoppy notes upfront with sweet/jam-like character (orange, tangerine, lighter lemony) plus a hint of floral hoppiness. Maltiness in the background but decently deep with light caramel, a bit of biscuity character, a hint of honey. Taste notes more or less follow the aroma, though I was maybe expecting more intensity based on the smell. A slight sweet edge in the mouth and a balanced, very clean finish where a grassy hint shows up alongside the citric bitterness. Leaves a delicate fruity aftertaste. Quite light bodied, quite low carbonation, perhaps less carbonated than actually meant as the very low head suggested; very smooth as obvious. A nice, very delicate interpretation of the style, with good drinkability and decent complexity. This specific can probably suffered a light undercabonation flaw.
