Blonde, clear, dense white head good lacing
Aroma of faint pale sweet malt
Taste - Very little initially, quite watery, very light fruits, very soft pale malt, most of the flavour is in the finish, sot cereal
Palate - Thinnish body, little oily. Finish of light fruits, dryish, very soft pale fruit hops. dry tail
Overall - A typical watery bland ’English IPA’ - water and little flavour. It was palatable, I could finish a pint no problem but its boring ZZZZZZzzzzzzzz

Clear copper brown ale with a small head. Has a sweet toffee-like aroma and similar sweet flavours in an ale which feels pleasant and smooth in the palate.

Copper coloured bitter, no head. Has a mild fruit character which coupled with its smoothness in the palate makes for a very pleasant ale.

Half, handpulled cask at Crown & Anchor (Cateaton Street). Lasting, nitro cream head. Clear amber-gold body. Aroma of fresh fruity hops. Fresh fruity taste with peaches and lemon up front added by grainy malts. Short and subdued bitter ending. Foamy in the mouth. Watered. Clean and easy drinking (Manchester, 21.01.2013).

Served from keg at Crown & Anchor, shared with Finn. Nitro, off-white head to a clear rosewood coloured body. Smell of roasted malts, semi-sweet. Roasted flavour containing hints of dark caramel, dark fruits and leafy bitterness towards the ending. Clean, fresh and a bit watered in the mouth (Manchester, 21.01.2013).

50cl bottle at the Ape and Apple, Manchester. Very dark reddish brown, close to black, with an off-white to beige head. Lightly roasty aroma with dark fruits and caramel. Sweet and fruity with a nice malt flavour and a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Well balanced. Medium body. Nice and flavourful. (2013-01-26)

50cl bottle at the Ape and Apple, Manchester. Pours dark golden to amber with a white head. Slightly fruity aroma with sweet malt and hints of cooked vegetables. Reminds me a bit of industrial pale lager, but with more bitterness. Sweet and grainy with a lightly bitter finish with hints of citrus. (2013-01-26)

Cask at the Ape and Apple, Manchester. Golden with a creamy white head. Lightly fruity and hoppy aroma with caramel. Fairly light body. Pleasantly bitter finish with a hint of citrus.

Clear golden beer with a thick, frothy head and a light, fruit and malt aroma. It looks a little too lively but it’s actually only a mild, pleasant fizz on the tongue. The flavour is fruit with a slightly sour edge though it’s not unpleasant for it.
