12/10/2023. Cask at Nottingham Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2023. Pours very slightly hazy dark orange gold with a small bubbly just off-white head. Aroma of citrus, malt, tropical fruits, peach, touch of herb and pine. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Average to soft carbonation. It’s fine.

Cask @ Doncaster Brewery Tap, Doncaster. Extremely dark red with a small off-white head. Strong tasting with a heavy dark malt sweetness, which is just as pronounced in its nose where its strength is also evident.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Black-brown with a thick frothy off-white head. Has a fairly easy but not quite thin texture for its strength. The liquorice influence is best in aftertaste, but light throughout. Comes across as an easy understated dark malt ale.
