Bottle at RB London Meet. Pinky-red color, small pinky head. Strawberries, raspberry, hibiscus in the nose. Light-bodied. Fruity, cherryish but sour lactic flavor. Light herbal notes from hibiscus. Really different brew than two others from series I tried. Sour rosee wine.

Bottle at RB London Meet as "Rye Saison". Hazy yellow color, small white head. Strong farmhouse in the nose with saison yeast spiceyness. Medium-bodied. Citric front, spicey - white pepper, peachy, with lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Interesting.

Nice big foamy head and good light copper body with little carbonation. Appetizing and fruity hop aroma, pamplemousse, fruits, lemon rind, one of those plug-in air fresheners with the usual scent. Flavour is soft hops and some lemon champagne hints, a little watery. Could use a little more crispness. Otherwise a decent IPA, some unique aspects but not a standout.

Scopey’s grand vertical. Thanks to our host. Clear gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, mildly dry and has decent fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, mildly sweet. Touch of sweet pine. Mild hop spice. Light tropical fruits. Light finish. Not bad at all.

Bottle shared in East Croydon. Thanks to Paul. Pours mostly clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Nice and juicy on the nose, lots of mango, melon, tangerine. Medium sweet flavor with more righteous juiciness, papaya, light bitterness, orange and tangerine, pale bread. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more juicy citrus, some tropical notes, light rindy bitterness. Great stuff.

Bottle big thanks to the main man himself. It pours lightly hazy bright orange with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, bready malts, grapefruit, lychee, melon, apricot and light spice. The taste is crisp, bitter, grapefruit, pomelo, lychee, melon, greengage, lime zest, touch of soap, pine needles, grass, straw, light spice, minerals and light alcohol with a dry, melon finishfinish. Medium body and moderate, velvety carbonation. All comes together rather well. A rather solid IPA all in all.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 31A / 19A adapted). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L15009 (BBF 16/06). AROMA: slight fruity aroma, marmalade like. slight peppery rye background with faint cereal husk. APPEARANCE: ambar color and clear. large ivory moussy head with good retention. TASTE: cereal flavor with notes of rye, some toffee and faint marmalade and cereal husk. medium bitterness that lasts beyond a dry finish. PALATE: medium to medium-full body with a pulverulent texture from rye. medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: an amber ale with rye, from a style with alternative fermentables that isnt very complex.
