Bottle 330ml
Dark ruby color, medium-sized off-white head, some lace. Aroma is quite light and it has liquerice and toasted malts. Medium-bodied. Lots of liquerice in the flavor, some ash. Lacks typical fruity hoppyness of black ipas and is a bit thinnish for this ABV. No off-flavors so more or less ok.

Bottle from het Biermoment, dated 03 Jan 2015, large sample. Dark color, big frothy brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice, blackcurrant, touch of oak and smoke, slight earthy and piney hops. Soft bitter in taste, quite malty, licorice, smoke, roast. Much more stouty and roasted than I’d expected, but not less flavorful. Lovely stuff.
