33cl bottle from ABCbeers. Thick creamy white head. Hazy golden pour. Subtle bitterness and subtle barrel notes. Not a fan of barrel aging DIPA’s or IPA’s. Imperial stouts are better imo

330 ml. bottle @ home. Bottled on 09.11.2013. GUSHER. Very dark blackish brown, huge sinking tanned head. Nose is big cacao, coffee grounds, cocoa puffs, cheap praline, something faintly sourish. Taste is bitter ashy coffee, bitter grounds, liquorish coffee, ashes, dry bitterness, cheap very dark chocolate, big ashy bitterness, bitter bark, bitter coffee grounds,… Roast was huge. I feared the worst looking at the date & after I saw this gushing. While I would have preferred more sweetness, this wasn’t bad at all. Big bitterness, big roast, touch thin. Bitterness lingers for a long while.

Bottle from Plan B, Rotterdam like, consumed at home, Easter Monday 6th April 2015 Very dark brown with a few ruby glints and a large foamy tan head. Some bitter roasted notes, coffee chief flavour, very hoppy, hoppy burps, but this is also well integrated. Woody and a ashiness, a little harsh edge (which I like in this), great beer.
