Can from Waitrose, West Byfleet. Aroma subtle resin with caramel and spice. Opaque amber. Thick frothy foamy white head. Medium-heavy bitter. Resin. Fruity streak. Honey even. Underlying malts. Spice. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Average prickly carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. I'm enjoying this. Bitter but with decent sweet element to it.

440ml can - Pours an almost clear orange amber colour with an average sized off-white head. Aroma is decaying cut grass with some light floral notes, not entirely pleasant. A moderately bitter astringent hoppy taste and not much else. Not great.

Can from Waitrose. Hazy amber body with a white head. No visible carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of lemon and a hint of vinegar. Flavour of bitter lemon and not much else. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Way too sharp to be enjoyable. It’s like an IPA with a dash of bitter lemon. I couldn’t finish it.

Cask at Pigs Ear '21, day two, 01/12/21. Golden amber with an off white covering. Nose is herb, dried berries, winter cheers, grains. Taste comprises light malts, herb, spice, mulled wine vibes, not much apple tbh. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2021 - Hackney. Pours clear honey-gold with a small, bubbly white head. Prominent winter spices in this one, some pumpkin pie impressions, nutmeg, a little dry pale malt. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Further holiday spices in the finish. Not getting much apple character, maybe some dry peel. A nice Pigs Ear offering.

330ml bottle from Windsor and Eton brewery. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light smoke and woody hops. The flavour is liqourice bitter, with a rich, roasty, big liqourice, dry pepper spice, light warm alcohol, hop bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. An old skool imperial stout.
