Description
We approach brewing like a musician composing a song.

Each beer begins with an inspiration: from nature, food, or an unforgettable experience.

Production is patient, personal and reflective; the vision evolves until it is brought to life in the glass.

Like the song, each beer is our expression, but the enjoyment and interpretation is yours.

Cheers!

At Alesong, our approach to brewing is patient and artistic. 100% of our beer is matured in barrels and then consciously blended to create a complex and unique beverage experience. Drawing inspiration from like-minded artisans across the globe, the goal is to create beers that are innovative and unique, yet approachable and balanced. And with flavors that range from tart and fruity to rich and malty, there's something for every palate.

We believe that beer is worthy of contemplation and reverence and hope to share that passion with you.

A lot of wine in this. Not sure how I feel about this, with so much wine. Pours ruby red with good pink head and lacing. Light tart finish. Tap at Snally.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Very dark brown with minimal off white head. Aroma is vinous with chocolate notes, taste is a bit off - light phenolic notes with a wine acidity and stout mix. Doesn't blend well. Things are off.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is strange, with plenty of lactose, oak, and maybe a hint of grapes. Flavour is fucked up -- is that isovaleric acid (cheese)? I'm certainly getting some blue cheese/parmesan, or maybe it's butyric? It probably isn't either, but those off-flavours are what I'm getting, along with roast, lactose, and vinous notes. Whatever is going on here, this doesn't work. I'm getting cheese and vomit, and it just don't work. Ugh. Sad to taste this from two greats.

500mL bottle. Pours very deep dark brown with very small white head. Aroma has an incredible bourbon character, brown bread malts, toasted marshmallow, wood. Flavour is also packed with bourbon, some marshmallow, a bit of wood, brown bread; good boozy warmth. This is excellent.
