Black with a very small head. Boozy aroma with notes of oak casks. Sweet and sticky mouthfeel. Sweet taste with notes of toffee, bourbon, licorice and whiskey. Warming -almost boozy- alcohol in the finish.

From keg @ Juova, Helsinki.
Poured almost black in color, almost no head.
Raisins/prunes showing, but also some wood. Light vanilla as well. Super smooth. Barrel is strong but not overpowering. Light sweetness that grows a little later on. Wow. Pure enjoyment.

16.9 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out lush bourbon barrels, toffee, caramel, and bready malt in good balance. Flavour has a beautifully smoky bourbon barrel character, moderate caramel malt, and bready toffee. Complex malts, elegant barrel-aging. World-class BA scotch ale.

500mL bottle. Pours dark golden brown with a beige head. Bourbon barrels, dry brown sugars, and brown bread malts on the nose. Flavour has a great bready malt character, dry light brown sugar, and a slightly smoky bourbon barrel character that blends very nicely with the base beer. The malt profile is excellent and the barrels are integrated perfectly with the base, this is excellent.

Canned, from Systembolaget. Black, small head. Bourbony nose with caramel and chocolate. Artificially sweet with near full body and rounded mouthfeel. Sugar, vanilla and artificial sweetener. Chocolate and bourbon. Achingly sweet finish. Has potential, but way too much artificial sweetener.

Flaska. Mycket bränt socker. Marshmallows. Grädde. Kakao. Även det bittra från kakaon. Mjuk munkänsla. Lite för sött men det borde jag förstått. Bra för stilen.
Malty and sweetish with loads of oaky bourbony woodiness, some toffee, syrup, caramel and chocolate notes, hints of warming alcohol and vanilla. A bit thin bodied but tasty slow sipper.
