Description
We approach brewing like a musician composing a song.
Each beer begins with an inspiration: from nature, food, or an unforgettable experience.
Production is patient, personal and reflective; the vision evolves until it is brought to life in the glass.
Like the song, each beer is our expression, but the enjoyment and interpretation is yours.
Cheers!
At Alesong, our approach to brewing is patient and artistic. 100% of our beer is matured in barrels and then consciously blended to create a complex and unique beverage experience. Drawing inspiration from like-minded artisans across the globe, the goal is to create beers that are innovative and unique, yet approachable and balanced. And with flavors that range from tart and fruity to rich and malty, there's something for every palate.
We believe that beer is worthy of contemplation and reverence and hope to share that passion with you.

Tasting at Chez Bois. Thanks to Tips. Light haze on this amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness. Smooth buttery caramel. Smooth bourbon barrel, very smooth and slavering over some ripe fruits. Smooth finish. Rich and tasty.

Bottle at the 'Mere, Happy New Years (Tipples had) Tastang, thanks to Tips 21/01/22. Almost clear golden amber with a decent white cap that veers edgewards. Nose is stewed fruits, caramel, fruit syrup, herb, spice. Taste comprises caramel, sweet malts, dark malts, spice, brown sugar spattering. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Decent mellow barreled affair.

Bottle shared in Hazlemere - cheers to Adi. Pours clear deep honey-gold with a bubbly white head. Big sweet flavour, some butterscotch, vanilla, light bourbon, bready malts, soft leafy notes. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Sweet and warming to finish. Solid.

500ml bottle from Tavour. Black pour with a filmy beige head. Aroma is cocoa, toasty malts, then barrel notes. Taste is more cocoa, sweet, milk chocolate. Alcohol heat comes on very late, almost like it's not there, then...pow! Cocoa dominates

Bottle picked up from Beerdome Webshop Grootegaste Netherlands (I think?) consumed in Frank, Lenggries Bergcamping Saturday 15th January 2022 listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6 Music, we had Lasagna tonight. Pours black with a fast disappearing head. There is some warmth from the chilli, chocolate comes through, the barrel ageing is noticeable but a bit on the heavy side. Thick oily moutheel, good, in fact very good.

Feels just as bubbly as 2019 but feels lighter. Still lots of blueberry flavor though but definitely light on the jammy vibes. Great funky nose!

500 ml corked and caged. 2021 bottle. Exquisite aroma has notes of jammy berries, oak, funk. Pours nearly clear ruby red with a one finger purple-white head that falls quickly into a ring. Taste is moderately sour (7/10) with flavors of berries and oak and funk. Highly carbonated foamy mouthfeel. Nice beer.

Same notes as the non cocoa (tldr: delicious) but with nice hints of cocoa powder. The barleywine and barrel are just slightly rounded out by chocolate and vanilla notes, really well done blend that isn't overwhelmed by the adjunct.

I love heaven hill BA and I love alesong and it's probably no coincidence that they also love heaven hill barrels. Syrupy sweet toffee and caramel super duper smoothness. Room temp heaven, no bitterness legit toffee juice.
