Bottle. 2008 vintage. It’s an unclear, dark golden beer with a minimal sized off-white head. The aroma is lightly oxidised, with caramel malts, tending towards toffee. Lots of pine cones, some fluor and resins, some meaty hints. It’s full-bodied, lightly carbonated and warming, with a soft carbonation. Meaty, bitter and sweet flavor with pine cones and resins. Lasting finish. This one’s been holding up very good, sure a beer I’d like to have again. 140616

On tap at The Underground, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out light piney notes and biscuity notes. Flavour brings out an excellent balance of smooth piney hops, some resin and crisp biscuity malt. Nicely hoppy, without any astringency. Excellent IPA.

Bottle thanks to Ferris at the RBWG 2014 grand tasting, thanks! Pours near black with a grayish brown head that starts and remains at the edges.
