Pretty light taste here. Cloudy dark brown pour. A little dark chocolate. Not a lot going on here. The roast and malt comes through ok with some lactose. Cask Days 2013.

650ml bottle, pours black with an amber tinge with a small beige head. Aroma of sweetened malts, light caramel malts, and a little cocoa. Flavour brings out caramel, sweet malts, a little cocoa, and some dry notes. Norma's sweet as I expected, but it is very malt-heavy. Nice stuff.

Modest head and lighter lager body with a bit of decent fogginess. Aroma of hops with plenty of bread. Flavour is nice dry hops with a sour finish. A good, balanced IPA with a hint of complexity.

No head to speak of; reddish tinted black beer. Sweet, alcoholic, roasted, caramel & toffee, Bourbon. More bitter-roasted than sweet initially, but then the Bourbon-vanilla jumps up, leaving sweet, but also wry-bitter flavours lingering on. Very well-bodied, oily viscous, and a bit undercarbonated. Impressive on first sight, but again one to taste but once.

Hella thanks to kbudd19 for this bottle. Pours pitch black with a small brown creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma hits you with roastiness, coffee, bourbon, vanilla. Flavor is the same, very nice mix of stouty and bourbon notes, with vanilla and oak tannins ever present. Lightly sweet and medium bitter, almost too bitter. Medium plus body, nice and creamy. This is a great effort, a bit short on complexity, but very nice nonetheless.

Bottle - Earthy pine hops with a strong malty backbone. Clear copper with a foamy beige head. Resinous earthy hops, orange and lots of caramel malts. Nice bit of bitterness and a bit of alcohol heat. I used to really like this and either it’s not a great batch or maybe my tastes have. Still pretty decent.
