Clear gold yellow beer, big solid creamy white head, a little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: nice, very dank, resinous, hoppy, earthy, some marijuana, a little fruity, not a tropical fruit bomb, but a very dank beer, I love it! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: oh my, that’s diacetyl… too bad. :( Some marijuana, a bit sweet, and more diacetyl. I can’t get past it. Aftertaste: bitter, a bit juicy, some grapefruit, good hoppy bitterness, zesty, a bit yeasty. Ok, but too bad about that diacetyl. :(

Aroma: malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, a bit grassy, hoppy, peppery, little dirty touch, ok. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, grains, yeasty, some banana, bitter, hoppy, grassy, grains. Aftertaste: very bitter, a bit yeasty, banana, bitter, a bit sweet, hoppy, dry finish, spicy touch, slightly fruity.

Tap at Luppolo Station (Rome-ITA). Semi clear hay pour, medium white foam. Nose is floral, pretty grassy. The mouthfeel is surely bitter, the texture is medium and rather oily. Grassy-chicory led. Good

Clear orange blond beer, small yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: malty start, grains, a bit rubbery, sweet impression, caramel, oxidized, somewhat chemical touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, pretty dry, a bit herbal, dusty, pretty oxidized, doesn’t taste fresh at all to me. This is the opposite of why I drink beer on tap… Aftertaste: sweet malty touch, bitter, chemical, some burned rubber, dry, a bit resinous, more oxidation, nope, big disappointment this one. All the beers at Artisan so far (3) are very disappointing, and I get the feeling it’s because they’re all not very fresh anymore. That’s not why I go out of my way trying to find interesting craft beer pubs.

On tap at Luppolo 12, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has gentle piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is clean and quite hoppy for a session, with piney hops and dry biscuity malt. Nice hop expression with a dry finish. Good stuff.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso va sul fruttato. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e la continuità olfattiva è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma ha una discreta resistenza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di aspetto opalescente e anche qui la grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. La carbonazione è nella norma e vivace. Il colore è giallo torbido. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è deciso. L'intensità gustativa è elevata. La costanza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono luppolate. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso. Sulla lingua si depositano caratteristiche di miele di castagno, luppolo, resina, frutta secca e agrumi.

Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono di pronta beva. Il finale è amarognolo, semplice e dissetante. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al palato arrivano sentori di miele, caffè, liquirizia, frutta secca e agrumi.

Bottiglia. Un arco olfattivo dominato da orzo tostato e cioccolato. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e l'esistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma color marrone castagno non è molto persistente. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il colore è come l'inchiostro nero. Il corpo è pieno. Il dolce è medio in buon equilibrio con l'amaro medio. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, cioccolato fondente, caffè, liquirizia, frutta secca, tostato, agrumi e bergamotto.
