Murky yellow with a tall, foamy head. Banana and bubblegum aroma with a hint of spice. Taste is mildly bitter with plenty of yeasty, bready sweet underneath. Body is medium, rubbery on the swill, balanced carbonation. A fairly straightforward Weizen with no surprises either way.

Sample from 50 cl bottle. Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with wheat malts, fruits, banana and grasses. Taste is sweet. Medium bodied, rather filling. Sweet finish with banana and wheat malts. Text book German hefe. Nice!

Bottle@Lars - Hazed yellow pour with a white head. Fruity notes of banana with some light spiced notes, light to medium body, spiced fruity and wheaty close.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 10A). Bottle 50 cl - Batch 12:30 (BBF 19.01.20). AROMA: medium clove and slight bubblegum notes with a mild wheaty background. APPEARANCE: deep gold color and hazy. medium-large white head, creamy, with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium-low clove and slight bubble-gum. faint citrus. medium-low background of wheat. medium-low bitterness with an almost dry finish. PALATE: medium body and creamy. medium to medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: a very nice and smoothly weissbier

Dunkler Weizenbock mit 7,2 % Alkohol und 16,5 % Stammwürze. Angelehnt an die Geschichte vom bayerischen Engel Aloysios, durchaus ein Bier bei dem man Frohlocken und Hosianna singen kann. Viel Hefe, viel schön cremiger, fester Schaum. In Nuancen erinnert es an die Turm Weiße von Kuchlbauer, allerdings im Vergleich weit weniger fruchtig und sehr deutlich malziger. Recht süß, aber wohlschmeckend, da auch deutliche säuerliche und bittere Noten vorhanden sind. Der hohe Alkoholgehalt ist immer zu schmecken, ist aber nie unangenehm. Sehr gut. Zusammen mit der Turmweisse, die Referenzbiere von Kuchelbauer. Erwähnentswert: Viel, wirklich extrem feinperlige Kohlensäure. Trotzdem nicht zu scharf. Allerdings sehr viel Volumen und man ist sehr schnell pappsatt. Die Kohlensäure ist so feinperlig, dass sie sich zu keinem Zeitpunkt (auch nicht im Magen) vom Bier trennt. Kein mir bekanntes Bier ist dermaßen sättigend. Das ideale Bockbier zur Fastenzeit. Mit dem Aloysius im Glas kann man mal ne Mahlzeit auslassen. Wer allerdings vorhat sich mal so richtig schön anzusaufen, den stellt dieses Bier vor eine nahezu unlösbare Aufgabe.

Süffig, (etwas vergoren) fruchtig und erfrischend. Typisch Kuchelbauer: Extrem feinperlige Kohlensäure. Täuscht so etwas mehr Volumen / Substanz vor als tatsächlich vorhanden ist. Kann man trinken, durchaus schmackhaft, auch wenn die ganze große Begeisterung ausbleibt. Wenn Kuchlbauer, dann sollte es das Flaggschiff Turm Weisse oder der Bock Aloysius sein. Kuchlbauer gilt ja als Weißbierspezialist - allerdings erst bei diesen beiden Bieren zeigen sie tatsächlich was sie wirklich können. Das normale helle und dunkle Weißbier ist nur recht durchschnittlich.

Huge lasting creamy head. Banana and toffee in the aroma. Caramelly flavor with yeast, cappucino and a thirst quenching hint of tartness. Licorice and citrus in the aftertaste. Nice one!
