Pours an amber from a can, nice citrusy aroma and flavor, tart. No beer that says blood orange ever actually tastes like blood orange, which is a shame. Just a vague citrus. Good beer.

[2/4/17] Draught/Bottle at Extreme Beer Fest in Boston. Hazy golden. Spicy, vegetal, sour, fruitiness, yogurt.

300th MA rating! Pours a hazy dark straw from a can. Aroma is kind of a general grain, a little fruit. Flavor is nondescript, I don’t pick up on anything particularly apricot-y, but it is somewhat generally fruity. The black pepper does show up on the finish, a nice touch. Good beer.

Sampled @ Extreme Beer Fest, 4 Feb, 17. Color is pitch black, weak thin tan ring of head. Aroma is weak roasted malt, molasses, maybe coconut.
Flavor is mostly the same as the aroma. Mostly caramel with a weak roasted backbone. Body weak side of full with a dry texture. A tad thin. Sweet finish with the ABV totally hidden. I can find the coconut but I can’t find berry in here. I am guessing the brewery was hoping for a better result from the amount of time they spent brewing this.

Pours a copper from a can, aroma of apple and bread dough. Flavor is a lightly spiced apple and a sour/bitter doughiness. Okay beer.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is hazy light brown/orange with nice sparkle, finger-width white foamy head with decent retention and nice sudsy lacing. Aroma is caramel malts with fruity, citrusy, light resin hops. Taste is similar to aroma though malts are less strong; lightly sweet at the beginning but bitter, resinous second half dominant. Palate is medium bodied with thin texture, average carbonation and dominant bitter over sweet finish. Overall, a little more to the hoppy side, particularly the bitter hoppy side, than I would have liked.

12 oz. can. Thanks for the share Willrunforbeer! Fresh cannimg date of 9/26/2016. It pours gold in color. Not sure why the brewer calls it a "red" IPA, it is gold. Aroma of rye grain and herbal Hops.
Flavor is not great: I get weak rye with astringent herbal bitterness. But also a spicy rye finish. No real hop flavor, just astringent overall. Not easy to drink.

12 oz. can. Thanks for the share Willrunforbeer! Fresh cannimg date of 9/14/2016. Lots of sediment floating around in a golden liquid. Aroma is pretty mild; weak pine, mild pale grain. This brewer must be getting better because this is drinkable. Light grain back bone with light pine, and grassy hops. Bitterness is moderate to light. Better then I anticipated.

Pours gold into a shaker. Bright white head crackles and recedes to hug rim. Caramel and marshmallow (cowtails/bulls eye) aromas. Sour caramel and rotten fruit front to back. Lasting bitter earth finish. Yuck.

Pours hazy straw into a shaker. Bright white head with little retention crackles and recedes leaving soapy spiders. Sour marshmallow and citrus aromas. Crisp with Corn Pops and mild lemon upfront turning to bitter earth in the lasting finish. Becomes sour and cloying as it warms. Not sure if the name is supposed to imply that this is a "light" beer, but at 4.8% it is hardly low alcohol or lower in calories than a standard macro.
