Sample at The Roost pours a clear burnt orange with some white head. Nose has a slightly off sour note, then malt and tea, corn, bread. Flavor has malt, sourdough, some tea, honey. Medium bodied with some tannins.

Pours clear golden with good head and lacing. Some lemonbalm. Nice balance in this, whatever it is. Tap at Snally.

Rainy day, at the source. No food truck.
Clear, fruit punch pour, nice head.
Dirty beets, herbal & soft papaya nose.
Not sweet, slight green fruit sourness & heavy earthy beet evil. Stops suddenly & lacks any bite.

At the source on a rainy day, caught under a canopy.
Beautiful medium golden, dense foam, orange gold pour.
Muted citrus & muddled grassy/herbal nose.
Bittersweet, macerated grape & apple, dense but approachable herbal citrus, lingering astringency. Spinach & apple smoothie sweetness; rosemary & hazy citrus peel.
Soft texture, constant pillowy carb.
Good beer.

Dimpled stein at the source. Hot & stormy but no relief of rain.
Frothy, clear, classic golden under pour.
Served just a little chilled. Snappy & semi-sweet upfront, it pushes an herbal agenda while keeping the plain cheerio sweetness at bay.
Soft mouthfeel, cotton, a little salinity. I feel just a bit thirsty.
Decent.
