On tap at Craft Beer Co - Clerkenwell, pours a hazy pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma is somewhat metallic, with grassy notes and crackery malt. Flavour is quite metallic, with lots of grass, crackery malt, and straw. Too much metallic character. It's not terrible but this doesn't strike the right notes.

Taste comprises soft malts, orange peel, light breads, melon, papaya. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with balanced light juice laden hop bitterness. Tidy pale that's singing well.

Hazy and dark reddish brown, off white head. Nice plummy aroma. Flavour has plum right up front, some tart berries, malt, a bit of caramel, a bit of citrus. Maybe a dash of chocolate as well. A nice balance between the sharp and sweet fruit and the richer, more typically porter-y elements. Very nice and a fine tribute to the Titanic beer.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - mat black with an attractive beige head. Nose - dark chocolate, cake and an edge of savoury, possibly black olives. Taste - molasses, burnt wood, light smoke and savoury again. Black olives and garrigue. Palate - medium bodied, dry, light roast and general bitterness. Overall - it's a dry stout and it's savoury. I like this. I'd never know there were oysters in there.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Thin, off-white head. Nose - rich plum, liqueur, even black cherry. Some chocolate and some cakiness. Taste - loads of plum and plum liqueur, some blackberry and black cherry creeping in. Luscious backdrop of chocolate cake. Palate - medium bodied, fruit tannins, acid and fruit. Very lightly bitter on the finish. Overall - luscious like a Black Forest Gateau. A bottle of this is about right. If I was having it on cask, I'd want a bit more roasty bitterness. Good, mind!
